
The Finnish Indian Consortia for Research and Education (FICORE) is a collaborative network of higher education institutions from Finland and India working together in diverse fields of science and technology.
FICORE currently functions as the ???India Pilot??????one of eight Global Pilots initiated by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. It benefits from a major investment of ???185 million (2020???2024) allocated by the Finnish Ministry for advancing international higher education and research collaborations.

IIT Bombay hosted a delegation from Aalto University as part of the FICORE collaboration initiative. The four-member delegation met with senior leadership, including the Deputy Director, and visited the IDC School of Design for interactive sessions with faculty and students.

The Gay-Lussac Federation (FGL) is a national network bringing together 20 engineering schools in chemistry and process engineering across France. Established in 1994, it is recognized as the oldest thematic network of engineering schools in France. IIT Bombay serves as the lead Indian institution and national coordinator for the FGL-IIT partnership.
A Network Meeting under the FGL-IIT agreement was held at IIT Bombay on October 3???4 2024, under the agenda ???Building and renewing the research collaborations between FGL-IITs.???
The FGL delegation comprised 13 representatives from French institutions and 18 representatives from various IITs. The meeting featured discussions, research partnership renewals, and institutional collaboration planning.

In March 2016, Tsinghua University proposed to establish an alliance of Asian Universities. With the joint efforts of all the prospective founding Universities, on April 29, 2017 the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) was formally launched at Tsinghua University, China.
The Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) is a regional organization established with the aim of jointly addressing regional and global challenges, specifically related to higher education and economic, scientific and technological development, by strengthening collaboration among member institutions. The Alliance was established with a core of 15 founding members, with the intention of gradual expansion and IIT Bombay is one of them.

AUA Staff Exchange 2019-20: Three staff members from IIT Bombay have been selected for staff exchange program for this year. They will be visiting other AUA member universities for one week. One staff from University of Tokyo, Japan will be visiting IIT Bombay for staff exchange.
AUA Faculty Scholars Award: Four faculty members from IIT Bombay have been selected for faculty exchange program for this year. They will be visiting other AUA member universities for 2 weeks. A group of three faculty members, one each from University of Malaya, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and King Saud University will be visiting IIT Bombay for faculty exchange.
Nazarbayev University, a member of AUA hosted a competition named 'Good Governance in the 21st century and its challenges' in June 2019. A student team from IIT Bombay actively participated in this competition.

AUA conducted Online Education Conference at Beijing, China on July 5???6, 2019. Prof. Sridhar and Prof. Shana Murthy from IIT Bombay attended this conference. They showcased IIT Bombay activities in online education by participating as keynote speakers and joining round table discussions held during the conference.

Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) is a strategic international alliance of which Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is the Chair. It was established on August 9, 2016 during the 8th University Presidents Forum at UTM, Malaysia, with the purpose of connecting technology-focused institutions of higher learning in Asia. Its mission is to support member universities in achieving world-class quality of education and research in engineering and technology through strategic international alliances. IIT Bombay is one of the member institutes of the network.

The Alianza 4 Universidades (4 Universities Alliance, A4U) is a strategic partnership between four leading Spanish public universities: the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) and Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). The A4U???s objectives include promoting the research conducted at the partner universities, primarily in Europe; raising their profiles and enhancing their international reputations by encouraging contacts in countries and areas considered to be strategic priorities; improving mobility options for students, teaching staff and researchers; and promoting quality teaching, with a clear commitment to interuniversity degree programmes, programmes in English and online training. The A4U is a member of the boards of trustees of several organizations, such as the Spain-China Council, Spain-India Council, Spain-Japan Council and Spain-Australia Council foundations, which help to boost its international exposure.
